Trent Meltzer is a Republican candidate for Judge of Shelby County Circuit Court.
A 2002 graduate of Shelbyville High School, Meltzer was named a National Merit Scholar and attended Ball State University on a full scholarship, graduating Summa Cum Laude with Honors in 2006. In 2009, he graduated Cum Laude from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law where he served as Associate Editor of Indiana Law Review.
Meltzer is currently the longest serving full-time City Attorney, having held the position since 2010. He is a lifelong resident of Shelbyville, and is part of the sixth generation of Meltzers to call Shelby County home. He currently resides on East Pennsylvania Street with his wife Jenny and their three daughters: June, 6; Rose, 4; and Pearl, 1. They attend Saint Joseph Catholic Church.
